Rita Khoury

Rita is a Registered Psychologist with a passion for psychological assessment and helping people better understand themselves. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, conducting assessments for autism, ADHD, intellectual functioning, and learning disorders.

Alongside her work with children and families, Rita has completed numerous adult assessments for autism, ADHD, and cognitive functioning. She also has experience conducting assessments for Family Court proceedings, an area of work she finds both intellectually stimulating and deeply meaningful.

Rita is passionate about helping people function well in their daily lives and gain a clearer understanding of their strengths and challenges. One of the most rewarding aspects of her work is witnessing those “aha” moments when a client realises there is an explanation for their experiences and that greater self-understanding can lead to positive change.

Taking a warm, collaborative, and strengths-based approach, Rita believes that people are often more capable, resilient, and intuitive than they realise. She works with individuals and families to identify and build upon their existing strengths, rather than focusing on changing who they are. When supporting parents, she helps them recognise what they are already doing well and make practical adjustments where needed, empowering them to parent with confidence.

Rita’s goal is to ensure every client feels heard, understood, and respected while providing clear, evidence-based assessments that offer meaningful insights and practical recommendations to support wellbeing and everyday success.
