A 65–70% Contractor Split

We offer psychologists a competitive 65–70% contractor split, depending on registration and role.

Combined with flexibility over when and how much you work, this allows experienced clinicians to retain professional autonomy while working within an established private practice.

You can choose to focus predominantly on therapy, psychological assessment, specialist assessment and reporting, or a combination of these areas.

We aren't interested in forcing every psychologist into the same caseload.

We want to know what you're good at, what you enjoy, and where you want your professional work to develop.

Therapy Psychologist Opportunities

Our therapy services support children, adolescents and adults across a broad range of psychological, developmental and neurodivergent presentations.

Depending on your interests and experience, your caseload may include clients seeking support for:

Anxiety • social anxiety • panic disorder • OCD • depression • stress • Autism • ADHD • neurodivergence • emotional regulation • executive functioning • burnout • adjustment difficulties • behavioural and developmental concerns • parenting and family concerns • workplace difficulties • trauma-related presentations and support following diagnosis.

Some psychologists enjoy working predominantly with adults.

Others prefer children and adolescents.

Some have particular interests in neurodivergence, anxiety disorders, complex presentations, developmental psychology or another area of practice.

We aim to match referrals to the clinician rather than simply filling diaries.

Assessment Psychologist Jobs

Psychological assessment is a major and growing part of The Psychology Hub.

We provide comprehensive assessment to children, adolescents and adults, both in person and online where clinically appropriate.

Assessment work may include:

  • Autism assessment
  • ADHD assessment
  • Cognitive and IQ assessment
  • Intellectual Disability assessment
  • Specific Learning Disorder and learning assessment
  • Academic achievement assessment
  • Adaptive functioning assessment
  • Developmental assessment
  • Executive functioning assessment
  • Functional Capacity Assessment
  • Neurodevelopmental assessment
  • Complex and differential diagnostic assessment

We value psychologists who look beyond an individual test score or referral question and consider the person's broader developmental, psychological, functional and contextual presentation.

For psychologists experienced in online psychological assessment, our Australia-wide telehealth service provides opportunities to undertake assessment work remotely.

Specialist Psychological Assessment & Report Writing

For psychologists with appropriate experience, The Psychology Hub is also expanding its specialist assessment and report-writing referral pathways.

Depending on your professional competence and areas of expertise, this may include:

QCAT and decision-making capacity assessments • Disability Support Pension assessments and reports • medico-legal psychological assessments • court and solicitor-funded reports • parenting capacity assessments • pre-surgical psychological assessments • psychological injury • personal injury matters • testamentary capacity • functional and capacity assessment • independent psychological opinions • insurer-commissioned assessments • Income Protection and TPD-related assessment.

You do not need experience in all of these areas.

We are particularly interested in hearing from psychologists who already have specialist expertise that could allow us to develop additional referral streams around their work.

Diverse Private, Government & Funded Psychology Referrals

One of the advantages of working within a broad psychology practice is access to more than one type of referral.

Depending on practitioner eligibility, experience and availability, our current and developing referral pathways may include:

Private clientsMedicarePrivate Health InsuranceNDIS Plan Managed and Self ManagedWorkCoverCTPComcareDVAveteran and family mental health servicesfirst responder and emergency-services programsNational Redress Schemecompensation and insurance referralslegal and solicitor-funded referrals.

We are also exploring appropriate opportunities involving programs such as Queensland Police Service SelfRefer, Queensland Ambulance Service Priority One, Fire and Emergency Services support programs and Open Arms – Veterans & Families Counselling, alongside other worthwhile government, compensation and third-party funded psychology services.

Not every psychologist will want to work within these programs.

That's the point.

We want to create different referral pathways so that clinicians can pursue work that genuinely matches their experience, interests and professional strengths.

Telehealth Psychologist Jobs Australia-Wide

You don't need to live in Brisbane to work with The Psychology Hub.

Our online psychology and assessment services allow suitably experienced psychologists to work remotely from locations throughout Australia.

This can suit psychologists searching for:

  • Telehealth psychologist jobs
  • Online psychologist jobs
  • Remote psychologist work
  • Work-from-home psychologist roles
  • Online assessment psychologist jobs
  • Flexible psychologist contractor opportunities

For clinicians who prefer face-to-face work, we also provide services from our North Lakes psychology clinic on Brisbane's northside.

Hybrid arrangements combining online and in-clinic psychology may also be available.

Why The Psychology Hub?

The Psychology Hub has been operating since 2014 and is led by a Clinical Psychologist.

We are a psychology practice, not a corporate telehealth platform.

We understand that experienced psychologists generally want three things from a practice relationship: good referrals, professional autonomy and the freedom to do work they actually enjoy.

We offer:

  • Competitive 65–70% contractor split
  • Flexible days and hours
  • Online, in-clinic and hybrid opportunities
  • Therapy and/or assessment caseloads
  • Ability to develop a caseload around your clinical interests
  • Australia-wide telehealth opportunities
  • Established private practice and referral network
  • Opportunities for specialist assessment and report-writing work
  • Access to varied private and funded referral streams
  • Autonomy over your professional work
  • A warm, established psychology practice with a strong focus on clinical quality

If you have an area of psychology that you are particularly passionate about, tell us.

We may be able to build on it.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are interested in psychologists who are:

  • Fully registered with AHPRA
  • Warm, approachable and genuinely client-centred
  • Evidence-based in their clinical practice
  • Strong clinical thinkers
  • Neurodiversity-affirming
  • Reliable and professional
  • Comfortable working autonomously
  • Good communicators
  • Committed to high-quality clinical documentation and reports
  • Interested in developing an ongoing relationship with the practice

Private practice experience is highly regarded.

For psychological assessment roles, relevant assessment training and experience are essential.

For specialist assessment, medico-legal or expert report work, clinicians must have appropriate training, experience and professional competence within that area.
