Tayla is a General Psychologist with a passion for helping children, adolescents and adults better understand how they think, learn and experience the world. She has a particular interest in comprehensive psychological assessments and enjoys helping individuals and families gain clarity, insight and practical recommendations to support their goals.
Tayla conducts a range of assessments, including Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability, Learning Disorders, cognitive (IQ) and adaptive functioning assessments. She is trained in a variety of gold-standard assessment tools, including the ADOS-2, WISC-V, WPPSI-IV, WAIS-IV and WIAT-III, and takes a thorough, evidence-based approach to understanding each person’s unique strengths, challenges and support needs.
Tayla believes that an assessment is about much more than reaching a diagnosis. It is an opportunity to develop a meaningful understanding of how a person learns, communicates and navigates the world. Her approach is collaborative, neuro-affirming, strengths-based and person-centred, with a focus on ensuring clients and families feel supported throughout the process.
Recognising that assessments can sometimes feel overwhelming, Tayla strives to create a warm, comfortable and empowering experience. Her goal is for clients and families to leave with greater clarity, practical recommendations and confidence in their next steps
Outside of work, Tayla enjoys spending time with her family and pets and can often be found exploring the outdoors, whether at the beach, a local park or on a hiking trail.
