Bachelor Psychological Science (hons), Master of Mental Health (Psychotherapy)
Kevin is a General Psychologist who practices from a person-centred, strengths-based position. He has worked with clients across the lifespan (8+ years) and with a variety of different presentations. Kevin has worked within school, workplace and correctional settings running both group and individual based intervention and facilitated discussions.
Kevin draws from several evidence-based models of treatment to help clients address their presenting problems.
These include:
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
- Brief Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
- Mindfulness-Based interventions
- Motivational Interviewing
- Trauma-Focussed Therapy
- Metacognitive Therapy
Kevin’s areas of interest are anxiety, depression, trauma, drug and alcohol use, stress reduction, conflict management and parental support. He has a strong interest in working with trauma presentations and mental health conditions in fathers, especially during the perinatal period.
Kevin is currently completing a Master of Clinical Psychology degree and spends time with his family or at the gym when not working.
Past clients have described Kevin’s practice as respectful, understanding, and compassionate. He strives to create a safe and judgement free space where clients can explore the problems they face and find ways to overcome them in meaningful ways.
Kevin is a Medicare and NDIS provider.
