Group programs

Group Art Therapy

Creative, supportive group experiences built around expression, connection and shared understanding.

Group Art Therapy combines creative expression with the benefits of connecting and participating alongside others in a supportive therapeutic environment. Groups can provide opportunities to explore emotions, identity, confidence, relationships, regulation, wellbeing and shared experiences through art-making, discussion and guided therapeutic activities.

The Psychology Hub is exploring Group Art Therapy options for children, teenagers, schools, workplaces, organisations and community groups. Programs may be offered from our North Lakes clinic, online, or in some circumstances on-site at a school, workplace or organisation.

Groups may be developed around the needs, goals and age of participants and may include one-off Art Therapy workshops, short-term programs or a series of group sessions.

Group Art Therapy for Children and Teenagers

Art Therapy groups can provide children and teenagers with a supportive way to build confidence, express emotions, explore identity, develop self-understanding and connect with others through shared creative experiences.

We are currently exploring potential 2027 Art Therapy groups for children and teenagers, including:

Ages 13–16 · Potential 2027 Group

Teen Girls Art Therapy Group – Self-Esteem, Confidence & Self-Expression

This potential Art Therapy group would provide a supportive and creative space for teenage girls to explore self-esteem, confidence, identity, emotional expression and connection with others.

The group would use creative activities alongside guided therapeutic discussion, with an emphasis on helping participants express themselves, build confidence and develop a stronger sense of self.

Ages 7–10 · Potential 2027 Group

Neurodivergent Children’s Art Therapy Group – Friendship, Identity, Strengths, Regulation & Connection

This potential neurodivergent children’s Art Therapy group would provide a supportive and neurodiversity-affirming space for autistic children, children with ADHD and other neurodivergent children to explore identity, strengths, emotions, regulation, friendship and connection.

Creative activities and shared experiences would be used to support self-understanding, confidence and connection with others, without expecting children to mask, suppress neurodivergent traits or conform to neurotypical social expectations.

Art Therapy for Schools

We are also interested in working with schools seeking Group Art Therapy programs or Art Therapy workshops for students.

Programs may be tailored to the age, needs and goals of the student group and may focus on areas such as:

  • emotional expression
  • confidence and self-esteem
  • emotional regulation
  • connection and belonging
  • identity and self-understanding
  • stress and wellbeing
  • neurodivergent students
  • transitions or shared experiences

School Art Therapy programs may be provided as one-off workshops or a series of sessions, depending on the needs of the school and students.

Corporate and Workplace Art Therapy

Group Art Therapy and creative wellbeing workshops may also be developed for workplaces, corporate teams and organisations.

These programs may provide a different way for teams to explore areas such as:

  • workplace wellbeing
  • stress management
  • connection
  • communication
  • team relationships
  • reflection
  • creativity
  • shared experiences

Corporate Art Therapy and workplace Art Therapy programs may be tailored to the needs of the organisation and may be delivered as one-off workshops or a series of sessions.

Group Art Therapy for Community Organisations

Community organisations and other groups may also enquire about tailored Group Art Therapy programs or creative wellbeing workshops. Programs can be developed around the needs, goals and characteristics of the group.
